Lawson Warner

Lawson Warner (1892 – 1915) was living at 22 Albert Street when he went to North School. By 1911 the family had moved to Harwich Road and Lawson had left school, and was working as an iron moulder.

He joined the 1/5th Essex Regiment, sailing for Gallipoli on 21 July 1915. Lawson arrived there on 9 August and was killed days later on 16th August 1915.

He is remembered on the Helles Memorial, Turkey.
